I have had a leaking main at the house I rent for 4 months now. The landlord has not responded to my requests for him to get someone out to fix it, meanwhile, my water bill has gone up $250-300 per month. Its been nearly $1,500, and I have told him I will not be paying rent until it is fixed. Good idea or bad idea? I am just tired of him not doing anything about it and I think when its his money in jeopardy he might be a little quicker to fix it.
